Ruby Tuesday used to at least have that phony "flair" thing going for it (just like Applebee's and TGI Friday's) back when my wife and I first visited one together ten years ago. Then sometime in the last couple of years they redecorated and now the inside looks for all the world like the in-house restaurant at some slightly-up-the-scale-from-families-on-a-sort-of-generous-budget hotel chain. In fact, I've been in hotel-chain restaurants that have <i>more</i> pseudo-personality than Ruby Tuesday has now. She's gone from "who could hang a name on you" to making Ben Stein's character in <i>Ferris Bueller's Day Off</i> look like Charo. Friday's has toned things down too, but not <i>that</i> much. Holy cats, that place was THE BEST. You always wondered which character your waiter was going to be, and you talked about it for a week afterward with everyone who knew you were going to get to go to MM's.
