I’ve been e-mailed once or twice over the years by a couple of people I knew in high school. That satisfied my awkwardness quota until after the 50th-year reunion, at least.

I skipped my 30 year reunion this summer. I figured if I hadn’t missed any of those folks after all this time…..

Part of the reason I avoided my 20th was that the contact person for mine was about my least favorite person in the entire graduating class. And was someone who had taunted me regularly pretty much the whole time I was there. Yeah, I’m not always the most forgiving person. (And I knew that none of my friends from high school would go – they are the kind of people who wouldn’t be caught dead at a reunion).

At least they remember you after all these years. My ten year high school reunion has come and gone without, well, anything even though I am fairly easy to contact. Or maybe they just knew that I wouldn’t show up anyway so they didn’t bother to invite me in the first place.
