Suddenly I feel like a Zebra Cake

Now playing at CakeSpy: The Little Debbie Death Match!

No, really:

What have you done? A side by side comparison of several Little Debbie treats to see which one will rise victorious through various challenges. Winners were determined simply: at the end of each challenge, which seemed the most edible? (Though, as a disclaimer, we did not eat them afterward)

Four full rounds of snack-cake torture. No wagering, please.

I’m not sure that I’d regard “Ability to survive uncakelike abuse” as a hallmark of quality.

Though those photographs of the zebra cake in the boiling water were pretty funny.

(Shuddering in horror to think of how many of those things I consumed from ca. 1978 to 1989)

I know I’ve always selected my confectionery snacks with an eye towards ultimate durability.

All right, now you’ve done it. I’m never going to be able to rest until I’ve dreamed up some more challenges and tried them out. I wonder what would happen to a Swiss Roll that was left in the freezer for two weeks, unwrapped, and then allowed to thaw? Cooked in a toaster oven? Salted down and sealed in a Ziploc bag?

…why is everybody looking at me like that?

@McGehee – perhaps a section devoted to reactions from various firearms? Say, using a clay launcher and a 12g, for instance.

I still prefer Twinkies. There’s no other indigestion quite like it.

And Twinkies have been more extensively tested, too.

    The Little Debbie Death Match…

What lengths some people will go to revile a mere confection. Me, I still prefer Twinkies. There’s no indigestion quite like the one they perpetrate. But anything has to be better than these Japanese candy drops that taste like, wait for it, hamburger…

Be it noted that Little Debbie’s handlers, McKee Foods, have been checking out this thread.
