352
“CoTV wins Nobel award!” says Andrew Ian Dodge of this week’s Carnival of the Vanities, the 352nd in the series.
He doesn’t say which award, but since the Nobels are awarded yearly, let’s see what happened in, oh, the year 352:
- The Alamanni and the Franks defeat the Roman army, taking control of 40 towns between the Moselle and the Rhine.
- Jewish revolt (known as War against Gallus) is put down.
- War begins between the Huns and the Alans.
- Ran Wei is destroyed by a Xianbei invasion, which also reaches the Yangtze river in the territory of the Jin Dynasty.
Yep, gotta be a Peace prize.
