The Jack Benny longevity plan
Was love in bloom the day Marilyn Monroe was a guest on Jack’s show? Evidently not:
Jack: Why won’t you date me, Marilyn? Does the difference in our ages concern you?
Marilyn: Well, Jack, I’m 25 and you’re 39. But in 25 years I’ll be 50 and you’ll still be 39.
It occurs to me that I should have thought of this before I turned, em, 40.

I am now older than Jack Benny claimed to be.
Hm. That is almost as discombobulating as realizing that if Archie Goodwin were real, I’d be too old for him at this point.
