One important point in your Vent: people can believe anything they want in this country, as long as they don't try to force their beliefs on anyone else. This, in a nutshell, is the problem with Islam, just as it was once the problem with Communism. Both of these belief systems further their agenda through force, be it open or covert. The Quran and the many hadith interpreting it make it very clear that infidels must be converted or eliminated, and even a cursory examination of Muhammad's life story makes clear that this was exactly what he believed and lived. The fact that there are "moderate" Muslims who do not hold to the tenets of violence inherent in their "Religion of Peace" doesn't make those tenets go away. Once upon a time in this country, we knew how to respond to an ideology violently opposed to our own. God help us if we don't recover this knowledge soon.

We knew the news media was over the edge on PC, and the government led by our bloodless president. Now we find that the military also specializes in covering up for Jihadis so as not to be offensive. What's left between us and the wolves?

And poor Bobbi discovers yet again that we have extremists in our midst.

I dunno, I might even be one myself. The PC trend towards appeasing Muslims who find profiling offensive is wearing thin. If a legion of Tim McVeighs appeared, blowing up even more stuff, would our society overlook redneck militia types because they were offended? I'm also tired of the moral equivalence argument against Christians - yeah, so we had a Crusades and burned witches at the stake - but not in the past several hundred years. As a whole, we've moved on. Can Islam say the same? There is a preponderance of evidence against that thought.
