Sometimes I space
Inspired — who wouldn’t be? — by The Bloggess, I typed “i” and a single space into Google’s search box and waited for the auto-suggestions.
And they looked like this:

At no time, incidentally, did I feel lucky.

I remember a prank in the old FidoNet days in the FILEFIND echo where someone sent requests out using: the, windows, of, a, an. It -broke- the message bases on many many bulletin board systems (mine included) simply from the massive quantities of responses from systems all over the world.
The message bases on my board were all in a single file and there was a maximum size and/or a maximum number of messages the file could handle. With the massive influx of FILEFIND replies, that limit was exceeded and the file got corrupted.
It was extremely frustrating because of the disruption (I lost only about six hours of messages, had to turn off the “offending” echo and rebuild the message base–on a ) but also very funny. Some people got extremely upset over it.
