Ever-so-subtle differences

Regret the Error finds this correction in the Times:

On November 5 we translated the name of Ed and Nancy Kienholz’s artwork at the National Gallery, The Hoerengracht, as ‘Gentlemen’s Canal’. This should have read ‘Whore’s Canal’. We apologise for the error.

It’s fixed in the online version, of course.

In a state formerly governed by Eliot Spitzer, the mistake is more easily made, I would think.
