Welcome to Wienerburg
This is the new city logo for Oak Park, Illinois:

HillBuzz explains how this came to be:
Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago where we like to go sometimes to watch movies and walk down the cute, Mayberry-like main street, hired a bunch of consultants to come up with a new logo for the city.
So, of course, they chose one that looks like either a penis or a sex toy, depending on your imagination.
We would have drawn something that looked like an oak tree, or maybe a park, for Oak Park. But, what do we know.
Then again, do we really want to imagine a logo for, say, the village of Gurnee?

And don’t forget Homewood. Or Romeoville. Or the boundary between them, which my brother refers to as “Homeoville.” (He lives up that way. I’ll have to see if he has any choice words about the new Oak Park logo.)

Firesign Theatre once suggested a love story set in an Illinois state prison, titled Romeo in Joliet.
