Just a number. Happy Birthday, Chaz. Being grumpy is it’s own reward.

Happy birthday. I hear everyone in America will be celebrating your birthday one day late this year with turkey and all the trimmings.

Happy birthday, Chaz. As you say, yours may not be a life that has great significance to the world at large, but to those of us who share it through this little blog of yours, it certainly is. And it could be much worse: you don’t have any children named for parts of New York City, or Earth’s satellites, or some such.

    HB.

Not everyone will be celebrating it one day late, I’m afraid; my wife is working this holiday week so we’ll be having a re-rescheduled observance on — I believe — Saturday.

In point of fact, I have to work tomorrow, so I have to delay everything.

Happy birthday. In your honor, for today, I will call my children Queens, Staten Island, Hell’s Kitchen, Battery, Harlem, and Park Slope.

For that 14-year-old rebel inside you, Charles: This tribute from 1968.

For what it’s worth, and as you already know, sir, I’ve tried unsuccessfully to pattern my tiny bloggie after Dustbury. You are still the reigning master among Oklahoma bloggers, for your truly amazing stamina and an ocean of interests.

Happy Birthday, many returns to the day, again!

Ah, sweet Judy Blue Eyes. (Who in that song introduced me to Joni, which justifies much.)

I do thank you all for your kind words, and I hope at some point to have earned them.

Way too late, I know, but happy birthday anyway. And many more, with good enough health to make them worthwhile.
