I’m pretty ignorant about beer, but I once got assigned to buy the beer for a party and got confused once in the store. I called for instructions on what brand to buy and was told it didn’t matter, just get some “cheap sh*t light”.

So I told the clerk I needed a case of cheap sh*t light and he brought me a case of Schaefer.

For cheap beer, I always liked Ballentine. “You take a ring, and then another ring, and then another ring. And then you’ve got three rings, Ballentine. It’s premium, it’s a very special kind of beer!”

Great for hot barbecues when you know you should be drinking water, but fancy a beer. Because it’s sort of beer flavored water.

Nuthin’ wrong with that.

Schaefer: The one beer to have when you’re having more than one.
Rheingold: the dry beer. Think of Rheingold whenever you buy beer.
Ballantine (baseball and).
Schlitz: Go for it!

Gone are the days…and all the 5 cent deposit quart bottles that used to fill Dad’s garage. Sigh.
