Let’s not call this a Kwandary
The New York Times puts out a patronizing-as-all-hell list of Gifts for People of Color, and Dawn Summers is suitably unimpressed:
As a black and latino woman, I’m as “of color” as you can get, but if anyone gives me a Bindya Scarf for Christmas, they’re getting it back. Well, unless they have some real good non “the racist New York Times” told me too reason.
Sheesh. What, black people can’t get a Kindle like normal people?
I can think of two justifications for the Bindya scarf:
- She might look fabulous with it;
- It’s cheaper than a Kindle.
Neither of which, of course, I’m going to say out loud.
