We all have our inner demons

Former sailor Jenn says she’s tempted to smack Glenn Beck in the forehead with a shoe:

This morning he was going on about the new Navy recruiting commercial. His complaint, that the Navy is described as a “Global Force for good”.

What does he want, a local force for evil?

Which leaves me with one question: how much admission should she charge for this event?

Glenn Beck IS a global force for evil. One of these days you conservatives and christians will wake up and see the pretender that he is. Unfortunatly it’ll be after Chinese Enslavement in 2020.

To me, touting the Navy as “a global force for good” sounds more like international PR than an inducement to enlist. It’s like recruiting kids to join the high school football team for the fresh air and exercise.

I’ll even donate the shoe. I’m pretty sure the horse won’t mind loaning it for such a worthy cause.

Well, actually, she was thinking of using one of her own shoes, something with a stiletto heel, but I’m sure the donation would be welcomed.

The Navy, and the military in general, has been infiltrated with a pussified liberal view that they exist as some sort of paramilitary peace corps. The concept of the Navy being touted as a “a global force for good” is Obama-speak and bullshit to boot. The military should be viewed as a warrior arm of the USA, whose primary mission as stated in the oath to” support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me”;primarily killing people and blowing things up and not passing out foodstuffs and water to third world nig-nogs who are the in trouble because of some disaster. I am second generation Navy and after the castrated he/she threw it’s stiletto heel, I would shove my boodocker up it’s gender fucked-up ass. Ordinarily, I give a veteran a plus, but in this case STFU. Peace through superior firepower…and don’t give me any of that hearts and minds bullshit, either.

Was it really necessary to throw a personal attack into the mix? (Hint: no.)

Whatever your personal revulsions, they aren’t binding on anyone else.

I’d give ten bucks — more if I could do it myself. My daughter spent 8 years in the Navy and had a very good and interesting experience.

    Hi Paulmos,

Thanks for the interesting comments. Your views intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. I notice that you quote the enlistment oath but I don’t think that you have quite grasped the true faith and allegiance part or the obeying orders part. Hopefully you haven’t risen to a position of responsibility but given the tone of your attack I would say that you are a somewhere between an E-7 and an O-4. Sad day for the Navy.

Everyone who commented who isn’t ignorant thanks for the support.

Not subscribing to the whole concept of sexual reassignment surgery, does not, in itself, make me ignorant. However it does make me suspect a persons viewpoint because they have undergone such radical change. Sad day for the Navy? Sez you!

Actually I was referring to your not understanding the the idea that the Navy exists to carry out the will of the civilian leadership of the United States, and through them the will of the people of the United States. What you think of me doesn’t matter in the slightest since we will probably never meet and if we did I wouldn’t bother associating with you. But feel free to take my comments however you want.
