14 November 2006Things that make one go HmmmClay Bennett and friends have been consistent in their insistence that their first priority is finding a place in or around Seattle for the Sonics and the Storm. But maybe not consistent enough. Buried at the very bottom of this Seattle Times report is an indication that Bennett may have tipped his hand a trifle too soon:
[W]ith polls showing three of four Seattle voters against a subsidy for the Sonics, [Mayor Greg] Nickels and other political leaders did not campaign against the ballot measure. Even the new owners didn't spend a dime fighting I-91 — a sign, many believe, that the owners want to get out of town when their KeyArena lease expires in 2010.
