Highway wi-fi

Autonet is rolling out a wireless-Internet package that runs off Verizon's EV-DO network. And "rolling" is the operative word, since it's intended for use in your car.

I bounced this idea off Trini, and she was quick to point out an application: "Set up a music server at home, and take your tunes wherever you go."

It's a little pricey — $399 for the hardware, fifty bucks a month — but someone who travels more than I do might find this an absolute boon.

Don't you hate people who post off-topic? Which brings me to this: If the Emperor seduced Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side of the Force, what was the side Yoda and the other Jedi were on? They just called it 'The Force', like they were the whole Force, but as the Emperor told Anakin, those Jedi are just telling you half the story. And that was true - 'The Force' includes The Dark Side, and - what else? The Bright Side? The Lite Side? The Right Side? Whatever it was, even the Jedi admitted that the Force was 'unbalanced'. No wonder, with such one-sided propaganda going on. And here's something else to chew on - the Dark Side consisted of just One Guy and a revolving door for his apprentices. The Uptight Side had everybody else, and all the publicity and Cool Toys, too. Yet Palpatine, ridiculously outnumbered, beat the crap out of them. Obviously, the Jedi Council had a well-deserved whuppin' coming.

I'm sorry, but I think the Emperor got a bad rap. If that's not worth interrupting your scheduled programming for, I don't know what is.

Let's see. The Force has a light and a dark side, and manifestly holds the universe together.... must be duct tape.

The opposite of the Darks Side of the Force is not the Light Side of the Force. Rather, it is the Dark Side of the Gentle Persuasion.
