30 May 2007Mozilla gets analFirefox was antsy (not to be confused with ANSI) to install version 2.0.0.4, so I decided to let it, and a box announced icily that the current Java install was unacceptable and would be disabled. Would I like to let Firefox look for a new plugin? I would, I said, and in entirely too close to no time I was informed that there wasn't one to be had. Would it have been so difficult to mention this before the install? Posted at 7:50 PM to PEBKACCan you please let us know what platform and OS you are running? I will investigate. Thanks. marcia, Mozilla QA Posted by: marcia at 8:40 PM on 30 May 2007Well, how do you like them Um, I'm running Windows XP with Service Pack 2. (Fifty minutes. I'm impressed.) Posted by: CGHill at 8:47 PM on 30 May 2007I just had that happen to me, as well. And if Marcia comes back--XP Pro with SP2, an AMD Turion 64 notebook with 1 gig RAM. Posted by: Victor at 5:11 AM on 31 May 2007I put off the "update" on my work box; it will be installed the next time Firefox starts. There being a Woot-Off in progress, it will likely be tomorrow before the opportunity presents itself. Posted by: CGHill at 7:37 AM on 31 May 2007Me too. PC with XP and SP2. Posted by: Anne at 9:53 AM on 31 May 2007Thanks, Marcia. It's nice to know that Mozilla is watching... ...at least, I HOPE that's nice to know... Posted by: Mister Snitch! at 8:41 AM on 1 June 2007 |
