Shipping advice

If your package is coming from this firm, you probably should fake an illness and stay home:

Whoever came up with the asinine idea to deliver packages to residential addresses only from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, should be shot with fifty water guns and shipped to Timbuktu in a refrigerated tanker. With no extra change of dry pants.

During the period specified, I might be at home for a total of seven minutes, max.

Who puts the "cur" in "courier"? She doesn't say, except that it "sounds like an internet speed." Damned hard luck if you don't know your broadband options.

Gah. But whose bright idea was it to use the internet speed courier service? Hopefully they won't make that mistake again.

Good luck on finding someone to deliver after dark in the winter (5 pm from Thanksgiving until MLK birthday). Good luck on finding someone to deliver after 5pm in a typical Oklahoma summer (90+ termperature and 100+ heat index).

If the people are too stupid to have it delivered to their work, too bad for them. Besides, delivery to a business address is ALWAYS CHEAPER than to a residential address, and wasn't saving money the point to ordering it on the Internet in the first place?

Er, I should say that these are important documents and I wouldn't want them delivered to work. The same courier delivers certain kinds of volatile lab supplies and I wouldn't want another overly anxious grad student tearing the thing up in search of a much needed reagent.
