17 September 2007Another cold one? :( OG&E mis-read my meter by 1,000 kilowatts. They are going to re-read it and send me a corrected bill. Sheez. Posted by: ms7168 at 8:44 PM on 17 September 2007Um, no. When I got home, a two-person crew with a Ditch Witch had just dropped in a fresh yellow pipe; over the next hour and a half, they moved the gas meter up to the house, sealed up all the joints, and pushed a whole lot of dirt around. They had to shave away about a quarter of the easterly chaste tree with the Ditch Witch, but c'est la vie. The water heater has restarted, and I'm hoping it will last three more months. (It's 22 years old, which for a water heater borders on ancient.) Posted by: CGHill at 8:57 PM on 17 September 2007Well good . . I guess. Did they tear up your yard getting the Ditch Witch back there? Or back out? Do you have to pay for any of that? In order: no, no, and so far as I know, no. Posted by: CGHill at 6:54 AM on 18 September 2007I hope your tree is okay! Posted by: Andrea Harris at 7:06 AM on 18 September 2007That sucker is indestructible. I trimmed off about 40 percent of it last year, well in excess of what you're supposed to do for Best Tree Health, and it didn't even flinch. Posted by: CGHill at 7:15 AM on 18 September 2007well, hallelujah. Bathing in 75 degree water CANNOT be healthy for a person who's running a fever from a cold and has chills already.
