A taxing question

Let's see if I have this straight. Passage of the so-called River Tax next Tuesday will provide Tulsa County with which of the following benefits?

  1. All the oil companies who fled to Houston will come home
  2. New, catchier name for the Inner Dispersal Loop
  3. The opportunity to sneer at Oklahoma City's "river"
  4. As if by magic, a riverfront will appear in Broken Arrow
  5. None of the above

Right now, I'm thinking C.

Awesome power these city, county officials have, to spin a magical tale, if only they can raise your taxes.
It'll be interesting to see the reaction to this tax's resounding defeat next Wednesday week.

I think Tulsa should convert the Inner Disposal Loop into a racetrack. I know I've did laps of it going 80-90 mph back in my younger and insaner days.

It amazes me how the City has already got a bond issue in the works for this coming Spring.

I guess City officials think the citizens of Tulsa County have deep pockets or they're just plain stupid and will pass every proposed tax issue that comes along. "Personally I feel the citizens of Tulsa County are waking-up and realizing the gross overtures that are taking place in Tulsa County, and yes, .. it needs to be stopped now"!
