Decelerational thinking

I'm not sure what to make of Emmy Rossum's "Slow Me Down" single, except that:

  • She's obviously studied at the Enya Institute for Advanced Overdubbing;
  • I keep wondering what she'd be like as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro;
  • Is it just me, or is there too much camera technique going on here?

If this gets any airplay at all in OKC, I will be utterly gobsmacked.

If you notice the production techniques, there's too much.

Someone ought to have told that to Ang Lee before he made Hulk.

What's alarming is that you have an opinion about an Emmy Rossum music video.

I think it's horrible. She's gorgeous and has a pretty voice. Why doesn't she just stand there and sing something?

She kinds of sings pretty but I think since her name rhymes with possum she has to employ crack-monkeys for her camera work.

That Enya overdub sound was real unusual and neat, about 20 years ago, echo, echo, echo.

I predict overplay on Magic 104.

The Sports Enema may use in a parody if they ever hear it,

that overdubbing hurts my ears! It makes me think I'm mid-migraine, when all my perceptive abilities are screwed up thanks to my wonky brain vascularization...
