16 November 2007A hundred years youngAnd I consider myself blessed to have been here for about a third of it. You're doin' fine, Oklahoma. Posted at 6:26 AM to SoonerlandI arrived for OU in 1983 and ended up staying through for my Ph.D. and went into medical reseach in OKC. I kept claiming that I was just "passing through" for the first 20 years but somehow I never got around to leaving. So I guess I am an Okie. It has been a very nice stay so far and I think it will continue. Happy B-day folks. We Love You! Posted by: the Localmalcontent at 8:51 AM on 16 November 2007Wouldn't it have been more in line with tradition to celebrate the centennial in 2005 or 2006? A state dear to my heart -- probably third in line, behind my beloved Montana and the runner-up Wyoming. Posted by: david at 1:35 AM on 17 November 2007 |
