17 November 2007Now that's a ringtoneLiterally, in fact: the tone was originally produced by a bell. A church bell. Specifically, a church bell from the Catholic diocese of Linz, Austria. (Three tones are offered; I opted for the Immaculata, whose somber timbre seems somehow appropriate for someone who hates to answer the phone.) And apparently the German word for "ringtone" is "Klingelton," which has a certain, um, resonance. (Via Shrine of the Holy Whapping.) Posted at 8:31 AM to Entirely Too Cool |
