11 December 2007America's hottest bureaucrat
I realize that this is something less than Breaking News, but the alternative item in the can was a bit about those ghastly Manolo Blahniks for Men, and I wasn't about to look at them every day for the next week while they slowly move down the front page. Contrary to popular belief, even I have standards. "...those ghastly Manolo Blahniks for Men..." "Ghastly" simply isn't strong enough. I'd rather go barefoot. Dreadful shoes. Posted by: miriam at 9:04 PM on 11 December 2007I think the answer to the headline (on the link) about those shoes is, "No. Not just 'no,' but, Hell, no!" I can't think of any man (gay or straight) that I know who would think those are a good idea. And if they were being marketed for women, I don't know of any women who'd wear them either. Posted by: fillyjonk at 6:21 AM on 12 December 2007You have to admit, if you walk into a bar where the men are wearing those shoes, you know exactly what to expect. Posted by: McGehee at 9:00 AM on 12 December 2007...and if I were Ms. Nason, I'd probably be a bit miffed that all the comments on a post featuring that pic, were about dreadful shoes for men. Posted by: McGehee at 9:02 AM on 12 December 2007Like she'd prefer snarky comments about her? Posted by: CGHill at 10:00 AM on 12 December 2007...or her shoes? Posted by: McGehee at 8:08 PM on 12 December 2007I suppose it would be interesting to find out just what sort of shoes she prefers. Of current Administration figures, the only one we're pretty sure of is Secretary of State Rice, who has a taste for Ferragamo. Posted by: CGHill at 7:02 AM on 13 December 2007 |
