More all-American Bimmers
BMW will be building more vehicles in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and apparently fewer in Germany. The official reason: exchange rates, making it cheaper to build in the States than it does in der Vaterland.
Stuff like this doesn't faze me. The Mazda 626 I used to drive was the first import-branded car to qualify as a "domestic" based on parts origin, and what's more, it was actually built by UAW members in Flat Rock, Michigan. And rather a lot of Volkswagens seem to get here through Mexico.Posted at 2:22 PM to Driver's Seat
