You are right about that. Why go from .flv to .mov? Yuk. The only flash videos I have kept have been a select few news related videos from NBC's Nightly News page. Once you've watched it online, it's in your cache as .flv and easy to keep with no conversion. I just keep it as .flv as more players can play it natively and it's not like you can upgrade the quality anyway. I have even used ConvertXtoDVD to burn a few of these to DVD and they look surprisingly good. But then their resolution at NBC is also much higher than YouTube.
