The Folded Earth: A Novel

A young widow, spurned by her parents, relocates to a tiny village in the foothills of the Himalayas, and gets caught up in the two major delights of relative isolation: stirring beauty and eccentric local characters. It is, of course, too good to last. This is not in any way a sequel to An Atlas of Impossible Longing, but it sparkles in the same way: the battle between blissful continuity and baneful change roars ever on, and love, given even the slightest chance, will not be denied.
