It's only rock and roll
Yeah, and a Porsche is only a car.
The Rolling Stones are here. They'll play tonight at the Ford Center in downtown Oklahoma City.
No, I'm not going. In my present emotional state, which may be best described as "insufficiently repressed", I don't believe I could handle it.
And the Stones on the same night as the State of the Union address? Obviously this isn't the situation for which they wrote "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" but it seems to fit just the same.

Hmmm, Stones or Dubya? No contest - I personally would much rather listen to Mick and Keith than Dubya talk about (what else) blowing up Iraq.
Besides, you don't want W. singing "Brown Sugar", especially with memories of Trent Lott still fresh in the mind.
I'll bet Dubya used to do a great rendition of "Honky-Tonk Women," though...
Ang and I lucked into some tickets (meaning -- we didn't pay for them) and I will give a review tomorrow.
You could probably miss both and still not miss much of anything. Same ol same ol I imagine.
The Stones demonstrate that longevity matters, somewhat. Their music is hit-or-miss (have they done ANYthing since "Miss You"?), but geez...30+ years of nothing but r&r has to prove SOMEthing, doesn't it?
