I saw the preview. It looks pretty funny. At least, the concept is funny. A guy meets an awesome girl but has to defeat her last seven boyfriends in combat. Kind of a “what if life was like a video game” thing.
Of course, I should think twice about taking my wife to see it. I learned a valuable lesson with Macgruber.
I’ve read several of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels (the last installment still hasn’t been published) and I think that the movie should compare pretty well (at least from what the trailers show). I was afraid they’d tone down the silliness but it looks like it’s all still in there so it should be a fun ride.
Also, having also seen Macgruber, I think this one would be much safer to bring a spouse to. I’m not going to swear that they’ll like it, but it’s not a source for gross-out humor.
