What hath Peter Pan wrought?

No, not the peanut butter; the boy who wouldn’t grow up and who now seems to dominate the culture.

By your definition, I guess I am a grown up.

Now if I could only get certain people to treat me as such.

I’m beginning to think that there isn’t really one definition for being a grown up. You can always find an exception.

I always said that I knew I was a grown-up when I walked down the cereal aisle at the grocery store and realized I could buy whatever brand I wanted whether I had finished the box I had at home or not. Not to mention that whole prize thing.

I’ve often said that cereal makers should put the really GOOD prizes in the boxes of the “most healthful” cereals.

Then again, I also think you should be able to get a Happy Meal Toy if you go out to a restaurant and order a salad…

You just gotta love the NYT. They always seem to want to tell us what is what and how we’re supposed to do things. Of course these are all things they don’t believe anyone CAN do… but there ya go. I believe my husband and I completed all there criteria by the age of 23… big deal.

My criteria for being an adult – you don’t give 2 hoots in hell what the NYT thinks you should be doing. Heh.

As for your sister, Chaz … quite a sad story, and quite a touching tribute you wrote to her. Even though it’s been 32 years, my condolences to you and your family.
