I always said that I knew I was a grown-up when I walked down the cereal aisle at the grocery store and realized I could buy whatever brand I wanted whether I had finished the box I had at home or not. Not to mention that whole prize thing.
You just gotta love the NYT. They always seem to want to tell us what is what and how we’re supposed to do things. Of course these are all things they don’t believe anyone CAN do… but there ya go. I believe my husband and I completed all there criteria by the age of 23… big deal.
My criteria for being an adult – you don’t give 2 hoots in hell what the NYT thinks you should be doing. Heh.

“People are wonderful. I love individuals. I hate groups of people. I hate a group of people with a 'common purpose.' 'Cause pretty soon they have little hats. And armbands. And fight songs. And a list of people they're going to visit at 3am. So, I dislike and despise groups of people but I love individuals." — George Carlin
