    You mean it only _seems_ like we’ve been using DOS since the 1900’s?

    Feels like DOS has been around since the turn of the _last_ century, I mean- I guess my comment is ambiguous.

    Can’t believe we’ve only been doing this stuff for 30 years.

    Well, there was CP/M before that, though not too long before that. (My oldest machines were a brace of Osborne 1s, which did CP/M, and a Commodore 64, which didn’t — although the follow-on C-128 did.)
