Toil and trouble

There was a time when people would think to themselves “You know, this job sucks,” but then pushed that thought out of their minds and finished the job, because that’s what you’re supposed to do.

That time was, um, earlier this week.

    I think one of the real secrets of adulthood is that no matter how much you may claim to (or actually) love your job a lot of the times, every job has parts of it that are awful.

    And yeah, hearing a “thank you” makes the awfulness less.

    Sadly, those seem to be neglected words all too often these days.
