    It occurs to me that if some blame “Affluenza*” and others blame “Poorlio,” it is actually – to quote another movie – “you know exactly who to blame/the mother and the father.” Then again, I had “right from wrong” hammered into my head on a regular basis, even as an under-7, so maybe I’m just grouchy about this.

    (*I grew up in a generally affluent town – we were among the less-affluent people there – and I can certify that even some of the quite young affluent folk are, as you put it, asshats)
