It’s the thought that counts

Gestures like this are not wholly unknown, but they’re uncommon enough to warrant mention and even, occasionally, applause.

And yes, A. J. Hinch and Dave Roberts did embrace like that — exactly like that — at the end of Game Seven.

Mrs. McG and I watched a fairly contentious game between KC and Dallas end with players of both teams swapping jerseys. The two quarterbacks even signed theirs before the exchange.

Being able to leave the adrenaline on the playing field is one of the things that people admire of star athletes, when they see it.

I interpret that as “Awkward Man-Hug,” but what do I know?

But yeah. Nice gesture. It’s nice to see some people in the public eye showing a little class.
