But this is important

There’s always one asshat like this:

Yahoo Answers screenshot: How do i comment when comments are disabled on Youtube?

Furthermore:

Is there any kind of software to bypass this?

This guy needs to die in a fire, and if someone can make it happen, I’ll donate two gallons of gasoline. Regular, of course.

“My sucky rude opinion is far more important than the video-maker’s desire for peace”

I still like the idea Randall Munroe floated some years back, though I acknowledge most of the chapeaux-derrieres who make rude comments would be unmoved by such a thing.

You comment by starting a blog and writing a post, no?

Too much trouble for that asshat: he thinks someone is supposed to provide him with a venue.

My board moderator experience reinforces my general thought on human interactions: there’s obviously one person’s fault, obviously the other’s, and “neither of you are helping and I don’t care who started it.” (In that way it’s kind of like reffing hockey.)

Sometimes comments are disabled to thwart idiots… and sometimes, comments are disabled because the video maker is the idiot, and wants not to be told so. (These are usually the folks who also disable the ratings.) The only solution to that is to click away the moment one detects the unmistakable whiff of Idiot Ego seeping out of the screen.

(And then to complain about it on some other blog’s comments, apparently. Sorry Charles.)
