Subject to burnout

While sorting through the archives, I found this item from 2006:

Well, they tried it last year, anyway, and nobody seemed particularly embarrassed, so let it be known that this is the 2nd International Co-Ed Nekkid Blogging Day, and while there are some things I have to do today with actual clothes on (shudder), today’s posts will not be among them.

To my knowledge, there wasn’t a third, and of the eleven blogs I cited as participating, only three are still up and running. Two of the three are run by women.

Be grateful I don’t have a webcam.

I have one now, but I think it’s gotten about four minutes of use in the last four years.

    that you know of.

I fixed your last sentence for you.

We all do, Brian — except those who really are out to get you, of course.

I’ve checked e-mail or the like once or twice while waiting for the shower water to heat up. I figure any NSA type who might spy on me (or any hacker looking for lulz) is not exactly gonna be turned on by my nearly-fifty-year-old torso and all its various accoutrements, and if he recoiled in shock and horror, all the better.

Besides, I think I’d hear my camera if it went on; it makes a distinct click when capturing an image.

Brian: If that thing can turn on when it’s not connected to anything, as is its current state, there is clearly no hope for any of us.

FJ: This doesn’t strike me as either shocking or horrible. Then again, I am not an NSA type, though I did have what I thought was an unjustifiably high security clearance back in the day, mostly because I worked with documents that were classified higher than I figured they ought to be. Real NSA types might well disagree with my opinion of said documents.

The click can be turned off…

I’m guessing the NSA types have seen things waaaaaaaaay weirder than 50-year-old tatas.
