A dog-paddle of sorts

He can’t help it, he was born this way:

A remark from Vetbook, a sort of wiki for veterinarians:

In most cases, euthanasia is not recommended as restoration of normal movement eventually occurs as the pup grows, provided the walking surfaces are firm such as carpet, grass, soil, etc.

There’s a lot to be said for not recommending euthanasia.

Yeah, there was a “swimmer pup” terrier on an episode of “The Incredible Dr. Pol” and the vet (I think it was Emily Thomas?) made a sort of splint system to hold the dog’s limbs in place so the ligaments/tendons could correct, and it seemed to work, once she grew some and the split was removed, she could run pretty much normally.
