From deepest 1970, the Cattanooga Cats:

“You keep using that word,” said Inigo Montoya. “I do not think it means what you think it means.”

One of Hanna-Barbera’s few (but not unheard-of) “WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?!?!?” moments.

I haven’t figured out Snagglepuss yet.

    “Exit, stage left.”

Happy birthday. (I assume that’s the reason for the video posting)

Even though it gave me an earworm and I started singing it while ironing my blouse for church this morning. (I get earworms maddeningly easily these days)

It’s really not my birthday. What prompted this was finding an audio file of this song on the computer and thinking “Why do I even have this?”

Somewhere in this general time of year, though, no?

There’s LOTS of H-B stuff out there I have never ever seen, by virtue of it going off the air before I was watching tv and never having been re-run. I know “Top Cat” and a few of the other older programs because I guess enough episodes were made for syndication, but I had never heard of the Cattanooga Cats before.

Only 17 episodes were made, and the Cats themselves figure in only nine of them; the rest of the segments were given over to other H-B characters the company hoped to establish, generally without success.

    (About six weeks.)
