Troll level: short

And destined to remain so:

If I injected myself with Botox on the sole of my feet, would I increase at least 1 inch in height?

Short answer: no.

Somewhat longer answer: “Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ, what the hell have you been smoking?”

I….what…..where did he even GET that idea from?

Now I’m afraid to contemplate what Botox is being promoted for in the weirder corners of the Web.

Collagen would at least make a smidgen of sense.

This made me run to google to confirm that Botox must no longer be a thing?

Right. There are three labs near me, offering it right now. eegods. Don’t people understand that “Botulinim Toxin” can’t be desirable?

Excerpt from the definition of Botox:
“Botulism, an illness caused by botulinum toxin, can cause respiratory failure and prove deadly.”

Holly, I quote my colleague the microbiology prof: “I’ve seen my students calculate dilutions. I’m NEVER getting Botox.”

(I understand in the *proper* dilution it’s fairly safe – as safe as any medical thing can be – and it does have some valuable applications (I know a migraineur who is treated with it to reduce the intractable, non-medication-susceptible headaches she gets).

But yeah, I would never choose it for purely aesthetic reasons. I’m vain, but not that vain.
