Too rare to be a hamburger
Did you ever think we were losing our links to the agricultural world in which we used to dwell?
Incredible correction in the @nationalpost today 🐮🐮 pic.twitter.com/poWLmp7oo6

Totally forgotten, I suspect.

They don’t exist, except in certain animated movies (the character is very much a “he.”)

I remember a bad old lab book (**I** did not write it) that asked you what the genetic result of a cross between a red cow and a white steer was.
(The person who was writing it meant “white bull,” and the result is a roan calf, but I always accepted as correct the answers from the farm kids who said “nothing, ‘cos a steer is only good for fattening up and eating”)
I admit to taking a bit of perverse pleasure in that the person who wrote it (I was a TA at the time) was one of the worst bosses I ever had, and seeing that they had made an error of that magnitude secretly amused me.

I appreciate the correction, and the humor therein. It’s an art form, a good oops!
