Climate controlling

The climate con goes on, and with it, the inevitable trolling.

I paid just over $150 for my last one, and that was with the AC left on 73 for just over two weeks (I forgot to turn it up in my upset state before leaving home for that emergency Illinois trip.

As I hinted on Twitter, any of those goblins who think I should be sleeping at 82 degrees (or rather, not-sleeping, and you don’t want to be around me when I’ve not slept) better NEVER step foot on a jet plane for ANY reason.

(I’ve never seen a Southerner troll a Northerner in the winter with a claim like “66 F should be warm enough for any body”)

Let the record show that I did pay the electric bill Sunday night, which of course means Monday afternoon, and while it was a bit on the stiff side … I don’t give a quarter of a damn about “energy efficiency.”

Remember when the point of energy efficiency was to keep one’s own energy bills low? Now we have to put up with censure from people who seem to think they’re paying our bills for us.

Or those who have become so panic-stricken at the blatant and deliberately exaggerated climate alarms that no one but the panic-mongers are sounding that they think it’s perfectly rational to talk as if the planet is literally about to burst into flame.

I’m so old I can remember when people used to sanity-check the things they say, bcause they wanted the people hey said them to, to take them seriously.
